SUNDAY 18th APRIL - EASTER 3

There will be a Holy Communion service both in church and broadcast over Zoom at 10am. The service will be led by Revd Clive Potter with Revd Barbara Steele-Perkins preaching. 

We are holding a Holy Communion service both in church and broadcast over Zoom at 10am each Sunday. The link to log in and dial-in details for the 10am service are the same each week. The invite was sent to everyone who is on the electoral roll (and permits email contact) - if you are not on that list please contact stjohnsmilford@hotmail.com for invitation details. This service is open to everyone. If you join us in church please be aware that numbers are limited. Please wear a face mask and follow any directions from stewards.

AFTER CHURCH CHAT

There is a St John's group on Zoom, for a chat with a cup of tea/coffee, on Sunday 11-11.40am. Everyone who is on the electoral roll (and permits email contact) has received log in details - if you are not on that list please contact stjohnsmilford@hotmail.com for invitation details.

CHILDREN

There are online and video resources prepared by the Church of England under the Faith at Home banner, for parents, teachers and church leaders. They tackle a different theme each week. https://www.churchofengland.org/faith-action/faith-home

Our Childrens Work Leader Penny is emailing out materials each week to children in our Eagles group. If you would like to be included, just drop us an email to stjohnsmilford@hotmail.com 

TEACHING

If you would like to study the whole bible through the year with daily readings, there is a guide that has been produced by Barbara Steele-Perkins. You are welcome to contact Barbara about this if you are using this material.

PRAYER

Hands in prayer   The Church of England publishes a Prayer for the day every day, just follow the link.

   There is also a Church of England booklet with prayers specific to the virus situtation.

 

MUSIC

The hymns Jesus shall reign, Jesus Christ is risen today, Be still for the presence of the Lord, and All my hope on God is founded were used in our most recent Sunday service. These are linked below. They are soundtracks recorded by the Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields, and edited together. You will find other hymns from recent services on our Vimeo channel.
