SUNDAY 27th September - PROPER 20

The order of service was the same as last week. You will find the order of service for morning prayer here.

The current plan is to continue offering our main Sunday service this way, over Zoom, each Sunday. The link to log in and dial-in details for the 10am service will be the same next week. The invite was sent to everyone who is on the electoral roll (and permits email contact) - if you are not on that list please contact stjohnsmilford@hotmail.com for invitation details. This service is open to everyone.

CWR, based at Waverley Abbey, have been putting out a wonderful set of short videos of inspirational teaching on their site. There is a new video each week from centre director Mick Brooks. This week's is about looking to God and being thankful in the midst of troubles.

Our bishops are recording weekly sermons, available on the Guildford Diocese YouTube channel here.


Penny has provided a set of prayers called "The world ablaze - prayers for difficult times", also produced by Roots for Churches Ltd.

The hymns At the name of Jesus, Brother Sister let me serve you and There's a wideness in God's mercy which were used in our most recent Sunday service are here. These soundtracks were recorded remotely by the Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields in their homes, and edited together. You will find other hymns from recent services on our Vimeo channel.
