TEACHING

If you would like to study the whole bible through the year with daily readings, there is a guide that has been produced by Barbara Steele-Perkins. You are welcome to contact Barbara about this if you are using this material.

Our bishops are recording weekly sermons, available on the Guildford Diocese YouTube channel here.

PRAYER

During this second lockdown the Church of England is asking everyone to pray at 6pm every evening for our nation.

Loving God, at this time of crisis, when so many are suffering, we pray for our nation and our world. Give our leaders wisdom, our Health Service strength, our people hope. Lead us through these parched and difficult days to the fresh springs of joy and comfort that we find in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

There is a Prayer for the Nation booklet here that has been produced by the diocese.

Hands in prayer   The Church of England publishes a Prayer for the day every day, just follow the link.

There is also a Church of England booklet with prayers specific to the virus situtation.

MUSIC

The hymns Come thou long expected Jesus, O Come O Come Emmanuel and Longing for light we wait in darkness, which were used in our most recent Sunday service are linked below. This is one of the soundtracks recorded remotely by the Choral Scholars of St Martin-in-the-Fields in their homes, and edited together. You will find other hymns from recent services on our Vimeo channel.
